How does Footrise work?

Predict football scores, earn points and compete with friends. It starts with a match.

1. Find a match. Pick a score.

Choose a day and competition on the match list. Enter the home and away scores in the two fields.

Predictions lock one hour before kickoff. Until then, you can edit and save your scores.

2. Back your pick with a Hot Pick

Use the flame to double the points for a prediction. An exact score is worth 5 points, or 10 with a Hot Pick.

The counter shows uses in that competition: here, 1 of 5. Limits vary by season; leagues can disable the Hot Pick bonus.

3. Save your predictions

After entering scores or changing regular Hot Picks, press Update Predictions. This saves your changes together. Check for Saved on the cards. Predictions do not autosave.

4. Earn points after the match

Match result 3 points for correctly predicting the winner or a draw.: 3
Goal difference One extra point if the goal difference is correct.: +1
Exact score One extra point if you predict the exact score.: +1

Scoring uses the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.

5. See where you stand

Compare your points in monthly and yearly rankings, and in the leagues you join.

Play with friends

Join a public league, enter a private invite code, or create your own league for a competition. Your saved match predictions count there too.

Tied on points? More exact-score hits rank first, then goal-difference hits, then correct results. If these are equal too, players share the place.

A season-winner prediction is shared across leagues for that season. A correct pick adds 10 bonus points after the season is settled.
