How Hot9 works

Nine selected matches. One shared challenge. Use your Footrise predictions to compete in a separate ranking.

1. One edition, nine matches

Every published edition has nine selected fixtures. They can span different competitions and days, not just a weekend.

Find them on the match list with the Hot9 filter. The badge identifies the edition; score entry stays the same.

2. Enter your scores and save

Enter both scores, then press Update Predictions. You need a Footrise account, but there is no separate edition sign-up. Save a prediction for an edition match to take part.

Already predicted that match? The same saved score counts in Hot9. Predictions lock one hour before kickoff.

3. Choose your one Hot9 pick

Use the 9 icon to double one match’s base points in this edition. This is separate from the regular flame Hot Pick; the two bonuses do not stack in Hot9.

To switch, clear the previous Hot9 pick first, then choose another unlocked match. Once the selected match locks, its Hot9 pick cannot change.

The Hot9 pick selection saves immediately. Score changes still need the Update Predictions button.

4. Compete across the edition, month and year

Hot9 has its own table, separate from league rankings. Follow your place and the leaders from the Hot9 page after logging in.

Edition: Compare results for one current or past set of nine.
Month: Combines finished editions by the month each edition ended.
Year: Combines finished editions by the year each edition ended.
